Description
Migrating Turkish nomads of Oushak created fabulous tribal designs. So that they could finish before the tribe moved on, they used few colors, simple designs, extra yarn, and large Turkish-style knots. Their colors were limited to a few earthy tones and vibrant reds. The thick yarn provided for larger motifs which allowed little detail. Hand-knotted with the finest hand-spun wool yarn, this rug was processed with a special wash to masterfully reproduce the coveted sheen acquired over time by prized antique Oushak rugs. A rug pad is recommended to keep this foundation securely in place.
