Early 1900s match box holder / ashtray and is the perfect addition to any advertising, match strike, or barware collection. Vitreous china restaurant ware advertising the widely recognized red raven and catchphrase "Ask the Man" promoting an aperient water purported to cure hangovers. Backstamp of "Warwick China" of Wheeling, WV dates this piece to 1912 - 1920. Excellent antique condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing; underglaze specks and minor gilt loss.
