Green sheets have a vibrant color you’ll want to preserve. To do this, you should typically wash your bed sheets in cold or lukewarm water to prevent the color from bleeding and the fibers from wearing down. If you use bleach, make sure it’s color-safe so the vibrancy doesn’t fade over multiple washes. And although it’s nice to slip into some extra soft sheets, experts recommend skipping the fabric softener on bedding.
Though some people prefer more or less frequent wash schedules, most experts recommend washing your bed sheets every one to two weeks. This helps eliminate the buildup of dirt, dead skin, and sweat that can accumulate over time. However, this isn’t a hard and fast rule.
You may not need to wash your bedding as frequently if you usually shower before bed, for example. Using a top sheet also helps keep bedding clean longer. On the other hand, if you often sweat in your sleep, or if you have sensitive skin that might get irritated, washing more frequently may be necessary.
When it comes to color pairings, a lot depends on personal style. Although some colors will generally look better with others, what matters most is that you think it looks good.
However, if you want to know where to start, it depends on the shade of green. Some shades of green lean more to the yellow side, while others lean more blue. This affects what colors pair best with them. If your green bed sheets are more of a minty green with light blue undertones, you might find it pairs well with pastels or candy colors in pink or blue. A seafoam green typically looks good with other watery colors — dark blues, blue-greens, and even purples or yellows. On the other hand, a more yellow-leaning green works great with warm, natural palettes in oranges, reds, and browns.
