Original costume design painting by famous French costume designer Madeleine Vilpelle (1918-1925) for the Folies Bergère. Painted in gouache with original design notations. Matted in cream-colored silk. The Folies Bergère is a cabaret music hall, located in Paris. Established in 1869, the house was at the height of its fame from the 1890s Belle Époque through the 1920s. Newly custom framed under museum glass. Signed on bottom. Light wear.
