Pair of whimsical antique porcelain match strikes / ashtrays featuring the Queen of Hearts and King of Spades. Each vesta has a leaning match keeper with a ridged strike area on the side and a playing card deck ashtray. Mark en verso believed to be the incised sun logo of German porcelain fabricator Gebrüder Heubach. The mark dates the piece to between 1882 and 1915.Good antique condition; vibrant colors, no cracks. Loss of gilt, crazing in one ashtray, and a tiny edge chip on the other.
