Hand-painted French faience wall plate or cake plate in Gien's 200-year-old Renaissance Fond Bleu pattern. A central cartouche surrounds a chubby cherub surrounded by eight mythical beings, acanthus leaves and scrollwork. with leafy rim detail. Marked "Gien France" with the castle mark used by the company from 1938 through 1960.
