Description

Katagami are paper stencils that have long been used in Japan for textile design. Here Yuki Osada pays tribute to the art form by painting a stencil-inspired design over a page from Jean Cocteau's play Orphée, known in English as Orpheus. This giclée reproduction is printed on archival paper, matted, and set within a gold-trimmed black frame, ready to hang.
