Description

Antique c.1860 French Barbotine Majolica cherub and floral urn jar with floral lid. Depicts a ceramic cherub holding a three dimensional relief floral urn jar. Base represents a garden with fence and water bucket. Highly detailed and hand-painted florals on a hand-painted mottled background. Hand-painted bright colored base and garden features. Piece is by Theodore Le Front of Fontainebleau. Hand-marked "Fontaine, Barbotine" on the underside. A superb masterful piece.
