Description

Antique 19th century Staffordshire cottage in an unusually tall size. Finely detailed and unique. This would have been a pastille burner. These were used in the 19th century to burn aromatic substances (incense), which emitted sweet scented perfume into the room to combat the odors in the environment during the industrial revolution.
