1960s Turkish Oushak rug handwoven of wool on a wool foundation with a medallion design. The Anatolian plateau is where the weaving of oriental carpets originated. Rich in tradition and pride, each of the villages of the area produced a certain design and colors that the neighbors rarely copied. Their bold geometrical designs and soft colors make them favorites of interior designers.
